When any bacterial attack a tooth, obviously it will attack the outermost part of the teeth, i.e.; enamel, and as we know enamel is non- vascular. Thus we can never feel any pain while the carrie or bacterial fermentation are present only on the enamel.This stage of carrie is only visible. One can detect this carrie in thier regular dental check. This is the best time to treat that carrie. But when does a person visit a dentist, only if they fell pain. That means the carries have already reached dentin. Dentin is a little bit sensitive, it can cause a little bit of pain. A carrie detected at this stage is not so bad.
